Effects of Methamphetamine Use on Children, Families and Communities

According to the 2016 KIDS COUNT® in Indiana Data Book, substance use disrupts brain function in critical areas and therefore can interfere with learning as well as contribute to behavioral problems and family conflicts.

Methamphetamine is a highly addictive, physically damaging drug, but it is very simple to make in a clandestine lab setting. According to Indiana State Police, in 2015, Allen County had the third highest number of clandestine meth lab seizures in the state.
