When You’re Not a Mother on Mother’s Day

We celebrate Mother’s Day for many reasons. An obvious reason being, we’ve all had a mother.  They’ve given us life.  What a beautiful gift!  Yet, it doesn’t remain that simple, does it?  Mother’s Day can pull on some emotional scars for those who have relationship struggles with their mother, for those whose mothers are no longer living, and for those who still long to become a mother themselves.

Writer Tracy Strauss shares her story about these struggles in her article here.  Most importantly, she shares,

“On Mother’s Day, we honor and celebrate mothers. For those of us who are childless, we must learn to honor and celebrate ourselves.”
